Girls Can Code

Empowering women and girls helps economic growth and development. Development of Nations are tied to how much leverage can be applied using technology and with women left behind and there are still large inequalities across regions. Climate change and disasters continue to have a disproportionate effect on women and children, as do conflict and migration. It is vital to give women access to technology and the internet as well as equal rights to land and property, participation in leadership and in decision making. Girls Can Code Can Code feed directly to bridging the gender gap in various aspects of work and development contributing to the SDG Goal 5: Gender Equality.
